The wholly-owned subsidiary of ‘Silicon Module Super League’ (SMSL) member Canadian Solar, CSI New Energy, has completed the sale of two Chinese solar plants to state-owned Shenzhen Energy for US$32.2 million.

The two projects are located in Jiangsu Province and were sold to the subsidiary of the Shenzheng, Guandong-based power generation company, Shenzhen Energy Nanjing Holding.

The fourth quarter transaction was closed on 30 December 2016.

This is another important milestone, as we continue to monetize our quality solar project assets in China and other countries. We look forward to deepening our strategic partnership with Shenzhen Energy for more opportunities in the future,” said Shawn Qu, chairman and CEO of Canadian Solar, in a statement.
